Resale commission and selling rules

What parks charge when you sell, who you are allowed to sell to, and what to get in writing.

When you sell a home on a park, the park usually takes a share of the sale price as commission. On this coast published rates run from 10% to 15%, and some parks also restrict who you can sell to.

What to ask

  • The commission rate, and whether it applies to a private sale as well as a sale through the park.
  • Whether you can sell the home to be moved off the park, and what that costs.
  • Whether the park has first refusal, and how its offer is worked out.

Park pages show the rate the park publishes or the rate owners report, with the number of reports.
