Owner rights and where to complain

What your licence agreement gives you, what the law adds, and where to go when the park will not listen.

Holiday home owners have fewer legal protections than residential park home owners. Most of what you can rely on is in your licence agreement, so keep a copy and read it before any dispute.

Where to complain

  • To the park, in writing, first.
  • To the park's trade body, if it belongs to one, which may run a dispute scheme.
  • To your local council's licensing team about site licence conditions such as the months the park may open.
  • To Trading Standards about sales practices.

We are not lawyers. For a dispute about your own agreement, get advice from a solicitor or an advice charity.
